Birth month-related items will never go out of style, for it’s always nice owning a fragrance mist or piece of floral jewellery or that is unique to your special date or month. While not everyone may believe in the benefits of birthstones, gems are a girl’s best friend, and we ain’t gonna say no to them!
Other than simply wearing your birthstone, you can also have it as part of your daily beauty routine - with Jill Stuart’s limited edition Birth Gem Lip Gloss that’s available in Singapore.
Read on to find out more about the Jill Stuart Birth Gem Lip Gloss in Singapore!
As one might expect, the limited edition Jill Stuart Birth Gem Lip Gloss comes in 12 different shades - each one corresponding to a different month of the year and its accompanying birthstone.
Jill Stuart is known for their stunning, royal-looking packaging with a Victorian flair, and they haven’t held back with this product either. The lip glosses are designed to look like magic wands, with the silver-coloured caps full of curlicues and “lace” details. At the very top sits the brand’s iconic cursive “J” logo.
Dangling from the cap is a number charm with Swarovski crystal according to your special month. With a ring clasp, the charm is detachable, so you can always hang it on your purse or mobile phone case if you prefer!
The various shades are as follows:
#1: January - Garnet
#2: February - Amethyst
Pink-hued purple gloss with pink and blue sparkles
#3: March - Aquamarine
Clear blue gloss
#4: April - Diamond
Clear gloss with multicoloured lamé
#5: May - Emerald
Deep green gloss with green and blue lamé
#6: June - Moonstone
Clear gloss with blue lamé
#7: July - Ruby
Vivid pink gloss with pink lamé
#8: August - Peridot
Clear yellow-green gloss
#9: September - Sapphire
Brilliant blue gloss with blue lamé
#10: October - Tourmaline
Clear pink gloss
#11: November - Topaz
Vivid orange gloss with orange and yellow lamé
#12: December Tanzanite
Clear purple gloss
These birth gem glosses are more or less sheer, so you don’t have to worry about your pucker taking on a strange alien-like blue or green tinge. Use them alone for a natural hint of colour, or layer it on top of an opaque lipstick for added lustre.
The formula is said to be moisturising but lightweight and non-sticky, giving your pout a comfortable, juicy finish.
The limited edition Jill Stuart Birth Gem Lip Gloss is available in Singapore at Sephora here. Alas, the Aquamarine one for the month of March is already sold out online at time of writing, but you could try checking in stores to see if they have extra stock on hand.
