You’ll be learning how to make mantous shaped like Snow White, Elsa from Frozen, and Belle from Beauty and The Beast - each one with a corresponding motif of an apple, Olaf the snowman, and the Enchanted Rose respectively.
The workshop will cover the following:
- Golden ratio recipe of making healthy steamed buns
- Preparation of dough using machine & hand-kneading
- Colouring of dough with natural food colouring
- Unique modelling techniques
- How to achieve smooth and shiny bun surface
- Various ways to judge fermentation
- Steaming method
- Tips on how to store and re-heat the buns
Each session costs $190, but before you balk at the price, note that this workshop is a comprehensive and hands-on 6-hour course, and all equipment, ingredients, class handouts and packaging will be provided. On top of that, you’ll also be receiving free lunch! Do let them know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions such as food allergies, and they will do their best to accommodate.
To sign up, simply drop them a call or WhatsApp message at 8148 3591, or send them a DM via Instagram. Slots are limited, so snag yours quickly to avoid disappointment. Find out more about the mantou workshop here.
