Li Xian & Yang Zi Reunite In "Go Go Squid! 2", Make Wholesome Cameo As A Married Couple
Remember Go Go Squid! (亲爱的, 热爱的), the 2019 hit Chinese drama which propelled male lead Li Xian to fame? Ever since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for both Li Xian and Yang Zi to reunite in another drama, and the good news is they have!
The spin-off, Go Go Squid 2: DT, Appledog's Time (亲爱的, 挚爱的), starring Hu Yi Tian and Li Yi Tong started airing last month and both Li Xian and Yang Zi have made cameo appearances in it.

The TongYan couple (a combination of Han Shang Yan and Tong Nian), played by Li Xian and Yang Zi, gave viewers a sweet ending in the first season when their characters decided to register their marriage. But fans also lamented that it was a pity that they couldn't witness Han Shang Yan and Tong Nian's wedding.
Well, it seems like the producers of the second season have heard the request and decided to grant fans' dream by getting both Li Xian and Yang Zi to make cameo appearances. And they didn't just make a cameo as an ordinary couple, but appeared as a couple finally hosting their long-awaited wedding ceremony!

In case you didn't know, Go Go Squid! is the drama adaptation of the popular novel, Stewed Squid with Honey by Mo Bao Fei Bao, so the wedding scene in the drama closely follows what was written in the story. Han Shang Yan, Tong Nian, Wu Bai (Hu Yi Tian) and Ai Qing (Li Yi Tong) held their weddings together and viewers were treated to an ethereal scene of both couples walking down the aisle.

Han Shang Yan and Tong Nian looked at one another like they were each other's world and shyly exchanged rings. True to Tong Nian's bubbly nature, she was the one who gave her husband a kiss on the lips first - too cute!
