Taiwanese Girl Band S.H.E Are Still Best Friends & Living Their Best Lives In 2021
Any 90s kids? We hope that thumbnail and title gave you a rush of nostalgia in the best way. Taiwanese girl band S.H.E was all the rage in the early 2000s with smash hits like Super Star and 安静了 (It's Quiet Now).

Two of the members, Selina Jen and Ella Chen, are turning 40 this year while Hebe Tien is 38-years-old. While many pop bands inevitably split after just a few years, it's heartwarming to know that S.H.E stayed together for over 10 years not just professionally but also in their personal lives.

In 2018, the band emerged from a hiatus with a new single, 十七 (Seventeen) to celebrate the 17th anniversary of S.H.E's debut. Shortly after, S.H.E officially left their long-time label HIM International Music. Hebe went on to have a successful solo singing career, while Selina and Ella are thriving in dramas and variety shows.
After suffering 30-degree burns in 2010 and going through a divorce in 2016, Selina came back even stronger than ever. She recently starred in reality dating program Meeting Mr. Right (女兒們的戀愛).

If there's anyone who feels like their happily ever after isn't necessarily to fall in love and get married, Hebe's life is an absolute comfort. This strong, independent woman is living her best life while single and doesn't seem bothered or pressured to change that status.

Ella is currently starring alongside BLACKPINK's Lisa in Youth With You as a vocal coach. She's also a mother of a 4-year-old boy!

Despite parting ways with their label and moving on to their solo careers, the trio remained as close as ever. Husband of Ella Chen, Alvin Lai, once said that not even a typhoon could break them up.

Selina Hebe and Ella have a tradition of meeting up to celebrate each other's birthdays every year. In June 2020, they met to celebrate Ella's birthday. Ella captioned her post: "Each year we will make time to celebrate each other's birthdays together, this year is no exception, they are my forever family, life's best gift, thank you to my two sisters for wishing me a happy birthday."

They also love going on hikes together, once coincidentally dressed in The Powerpuff Girls colours in December 2020. Selina posted their hiking photos on Instagram, writing that climbing the mountains with Hebe and Ella made her realise her weaknesses, bravery and strength, and appreciate her friendship.

They also love spending time together with Ella's son.

They celebrated Christmas together last year, each of them captioning their posts: "All I want for Christmas is you".

And if you're wondering, this most likely isn't just a PR friendship deliberately curated for social media. Paparazzi have snapped photos of the three together in their private time. And in 2017, photos were leaked showing that Selina and Hebe were by Ella's side when she delivered her baby.
