New Japanese Omakase Restaurant In Singapore Looks Like A Luxury Store With Pink Gucci Wallpaper & Minimalist Interiors
Showering a loved one with expensive things like designer bags or a luxury staycation is like saying "I love you" without words (and with your wallet instead). But if you're looking to splurge and pamper the foodies in your life, they would probably prefer to be treated to a fancy meal than a material item.
Cue the new Insta-worthy Japanese omakase fine dining restaurant in Singapore, Masaaki, located just a 2-minute walk from Esplanade MRT station.

With high ceilings, marble and Gucci wallpaper, Masaaki looks like a gorgeous luxury store or hotel at first glance.
Traditional dancing crane motif balances with a modern pink colour on the walls while the ceiling is filled with cascading washi paper sheets reminiscent of clouds.
The bold entrance gives way to a minimalist dining area with an open kitchen. Surrounding the charcoal hearth is a sushi counter made of 250 year old Hinoki wood, sanded to a soft porous state for a luminous look and a sweet lemony scent.
Named after the chef and owner, Masaaki, the restaurant serves cuisine that infuses traditional cooking techniques with the chef's personal ingenuity to deliver unique omakase menus. The ingredients used are selected for their freshness and premium quality, air flown directly from Toyosu Market in Japan.
Each course is distinctively plated and prepared quickly so you'll experience the preserved essence of each dish.
Lunch is priced from $120++ for 7-course meal while dinner starts from $280++ for an 8-course meal.
