The liquid filling is made from green tea cream and chocolate, so the bitterness of the matcha is balanced out. Uji green tea from Kyoto is infused into the brioche bun itself, if you haven’t already guessed from its vibrant green hue. Topping the fluffy masterpiece is matcha crumble for added texture and crunch.

The buns are baked fresh daily and are usually put out for sale from noon. However, they get sold out super quickly, so you’ll want to head down early to avoid any disappointment!

True blue matcha lovers have praised this heavily, raving over how generous the bakery is with the matcha and the bread's soft texture. Some even say that it’s worthy of being a whole dessert on its own, rather than just a bun.
$3 is a very reasonable price to pay, considering what you’re getting is the real deal with actual matcha instead of mere green tea flavouring that doesn't bring an intense kick.
