Japanese artist and designer Manami Sasaki started a cute series on her Instagram account called Stay at Home Breakfasts. She makes beautifully decorated toast with edible ingredients that you can take inspiration from and recreate the work of art.
One of her cleverest and soothing creations is the Japanese garden toast.
The rock garden toast is made of a spread of sour cream to get the look of white gravel while the pattern is created using a fork to carefully comb the spread into patterns. A matcha paste is used to create the look of moss while macadamia nuts and walnuts make up the "larger rocks". ?
