Of course, different hotels have varying hygiene standards and cleaning practices. Still, regardless of how clean a hotel looks, there are some spots that are pretty germ-infested! Findings by Scientific American in 2012 show that about 81% of hotel room surfaces sampled held at least some fecal bacteria.
