We Rank The Least To Most Scary Haunted Houses Of USS Halloween Horror Nights 13
It's officially spooky season and Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights is back for its 13th year.
For a quick spoiler-free review and overall thoughts: This edition will be a particularly thrilling time for horror tv and movie buffs. You'll be knee-deep in iconic settings and inches away from characters in M3GAN, Stranger Things, Death Whisperer, The Black Phone, Happy Death Day, and The Purge. Know anyone with a fear of clowns? This is the year to jio them, do it for the plot!
If you've secured your tickets, plan your time wisely as there will be queues at all four Haunted Houses. Here are the least to most scary haunted houses to prioritise based on your scare threshold:
Haunted Houses
#4 Netflix's Stranger Things
We love a Stranger Things experience, and this delivered on all fronts, recreating memorable scenes that make you feel like you've stepped through the tv screen and into the Netflix series. It's low on scare factor, but big on fun if you're a fan of the show.

#3 Singapore’s Most Haunted: Build to Horror
After pondering that BTO pun, prepare for that grin to be wiped off your face as this haunted house, or rather, HDB flat, is eerie from start to finish. Perhaps it's the familiarity of the setting, but wandering through the a decrepit, apocalyptic environment that looks like home - void deck, corridor, etc. - felt unsetting in the best way. There's also an interactive element where you can shine a light to find hidden messages.

#2 The Unruly Immortals
While not the scariest haunted house in our opinion, this was the most enjoyable and memorable walkthrough of the night. Inspired by the hit Chinese manhua of the same name, this haunted house had immaculately designed sets bolstered by a spine-chilling sound system. There were also a couple of truly unexpected jump scares that will catch even seasoned haunted house goers off guard.

#1 Death Whisperer
The most petrifying haunted house was unsurprisingly the Thai-inspired one! Based on the hit horror film, it's set in a rural village in Thailand in 1972 where a vengeful Black Spirit looking for a new host. Fair warning - it's not for the faint of heart!

Scare Zones
Remember the aforementioned clowns? The FEARground, presented by Fanta, is a nightmarish carnival where all kinds of creepy clowns run amok.

Don't miss The Realm of Yokai too, where there are twisted spirits and vengeful demons lurking.

Special Experience
For the first time ever, USS Halloween Horror Nights has collaborated with horror film producers, Blumhouse. This dream team has brought us two cinematic experiences.
There's a projection mapping show at the Far Far Away castle, Blumhouse: Fear Lives Here, accompanied by an original cinematic score.
Over at the Blumhouse Bar, diners can enjoy specialty cocktails while getting up close and personal with terrifying characters like M3GAN.

Halloween-Themed Dining
If you're a sucker for themed food, there's plenty to choose from at various restaurants and food carts. This year's food line-up might be the most visually creative yet. There are creations from demonic-looking crispy onion blossoms to a mushroom quesadilla shaped like a toyol AKA demon baby.
The crowd-favourite "blood" bag filled with raspberry flavoured jelly is back, along with test tube brews of lime juice or blackcurrant flavoured jelly.
