Cavern Restaurant Is The Chic, Cave-Inspired Spot That Everyone Will Be Posting From Soon

Getting tired of regular date nights at your usual rotation of restaurants? It's time to crawl out of that womancave... into an even better one! Cavern Restaurant isn't just any old cave diner (no headlamps required, we promise). It's easily the most glamorous cavern one we've seen on this side of the ice age, and they're heads and shoulders ahead of other caves when it comes to food and customer service standards too.

Caveman jokes aside, the new Cavern Restaurant is opening soon at Rainforest Wild Asia in Mandai Wildlife Reserve come 12 March, and we simply can't wait!

Stylish cave interiors

This cave restaurant is where you can wine and dine in style against a backdrop that looks straight out of an ancient fairytale.

Think textured limestone walls, warm glowing lights that mimic water droplets on stalactites, and a moody, mysterious ambience. If you’ve ever dreamed of being an explorer — but, you know, with a cocktail in hand and zero risk of running into a bat colony — this is your moment.

Bonus: it’s developed in collaboration with the Sarawak Forestry Corporation, so you know they did their cave homework. Inspired by Sarawak’s famous Mulu Caves, this spacious 158-seater restaurant is part of a larger zone called The Cavern.

Surrounding the area, you'll find fascinating wildlife species like racer snakes and giant black scorpions (don’t worry, they won’t be joining you for dinner)!

Besides the novelty of dining inside a cave, the food is set to be just as impressive as the setting. Cavern Restaurant is managed by the brains behind top spots like Jaan, Cure, and CÉ LA VI, and will boast a flavourful Western menu.

Expect grilled octopus with chimichurri, succulent beef skewers with Padron peppers, and juicy burgers that might just become your new obsession.
