Lantine Cafe Has The Prettiest Chinese-Inspired Photo Spots, Tea Bar & Desserts
In your palace drama era? Before you hop on a plane to China for your next vacay, you'll want to head over to Lantine Cafe to enjoy an Instagrammable dessert session! This newly opened teahouse is the newest it spot on social media, with interiors that combine traditional Chinese furnishings with modern aesthetics — and some of the prettiest fusion desserts to grace the internet.

Located a short 4-minute walk from Farrer Park MRT Station Exit B, this cafe is easy to spot and has plenty of seats placed outside (for the longer lines during peak hours). FYI: there's also a full-length wood mirror placed at the entrance for a quick fit-check!

The inside of the cafe has a clean design, with more dark wood and cream-hued furniture. Even though the space is not very large, each area comes with different Chinese-themed decor that will have you itching to sit there.

We were torn between a sunny bench with potted flowers against a calligraphy screen, and a tall shelf displaying folding fans and other elegant knickknacks. The shelf won, by a small margin.

Popular items on the menu include the Strawberry Souffle ($16), Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.50), and Taro Mochi ($6.90), all of which look amazing on camera.

You can also opt for Jelly Bowls, Tiramisus or some refreshing bowls of Snow Ice to cool down during hot days. We definitely appreciate that the desserts are budget-friendly for cafe standards (the Strawberry Souffle can be shared between 2-3 diners) especially since it's located in town.

Besides their wide array of sweet treats, Lantine offers an extensive menu of coffees, smoothies and iced teas. And of course, what's a high tea session without a pot of piping hot tea? We picked the Rock Roasted Milk Tea ($13.90), a TikTok crowd favourite that features milk tea with lovely floral petals, served in an earthen teapot over a lit candle.
