Need a quick refresher? 'You' follows Joe, a book-obsessed romantic with a dark side—one that involves stalking, manipulation, and, well, murder. Based on Caroline Kepnes’ novels, the show shows Joe’s twisted love stories unravel one victim at a time.

The teaser gives us chills as Joe steps into familiar territory: Mooney’s rare and secondhand bookstore in New York City. If that wasn’t enough, we also get a peek at the cage—yes, that cage—where it all began with his first victim, Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail). But Joe’s not alone; his new partner Kate Galvin (Charlotte Ritchie), who he met in London during Season 4, is by his side. Or should we say, his next obsession?

The teaser also highlights the many lives Joe has destroyed, flashing through the faces of Love (Victoria Pedretti), Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), Benji (Lou Taylor Pucci), Cary (Travis Van Winkle), Sherry (Shalita Grant), and Delilah (Carmela Zumbado). One by one, they met their ends—some more tragic than others.

In his signature creepy voiceover, Joe whispers, “Hello, you. Do you remember me? Because I remember you. Here we are together again, back to where it began. A lot has happened these many years together: identities, cities, loves, complications, but all that led me here, to now, to where I was always meant to be. And the one constant, the one thing that has always been there for me, is you. You, who have been there the whole time and will be there with me to the end. Goodbye, you."

What to Expect in You Season 5
Netflix’s official synopsis promises an intense final chapter:
"In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires."
Joe won’t just be haunted by his past. He’ll also have to navigate Kate’s complicated family, including her twin sisters-in-law (played by Anna Camp) and her brother-in-law (Griffin Matthews). And there’s a mysterious new character in the mix: Bronte (Madeline Brewer), According to her character description, she is "an enigmatic and free-spirited playwright who comes to work at Joe Goldberg’s new bookstore". Let’s just say, she might want to steer clear of her new boss.
