John Tenniel’s classic illustrations of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has turned the walls into a gorgeous gallery where childhood nostalgia meets high fashion.

We spotted lovely details that reference iconic scenes from the fairytale, along with a collection of many different editions of Alice lining the shelves.

Start your journey with the savory selections, where each bite is a tribute to a different character or scene from the story.

The Smoked Salmon with Rose Cream Cheese and Trout Roe, for instance, is presented as a Queen of Hearts playing card, complete with a tiny heart cutout that’s almost too cute to eat. Almost. The flavor combo is next-level, with the smoky salmon and creamy cheese doing a little dance in your mouth.

Then there’s the Forest Mushroom and Porcini Caviar, which tastes earthy, rich, and just the right amount of mysterious. The Egg Mayonnaise with Earl Grey Tea, shaped like a clock, is a clever nod to the White Rabbit’s panicky obsession with time (but aren't we all!), and its subtle tea-infused flavor is a delightful surprise.

But the real star of this show? The sweet treats, of course. We're not joking when we say that each dessert is like a scene straight from the book, but, you know, edible.

The Caraway Chocolate Macaron is a mini work of art, featuring illustrations that make you want to snap a pic or ten before you bite. It’s so rich, chocolatey, and it’s probably going to make you feel bad for destroying such a pretty piece of art.

Another standout is the Pomme Cinnamon and Fluffy Puff Pastry which is shaped like a little book with a rabbit on the cover, a nod to that adorable rabbit hole moment. It’s light, flaky, and packed with an apple filling that’s giving all the cozy, autumn feels.

Then there’s the Pistachio Cream and Raspberry Rose Marmalade, which is serving up serious “painting the roses red” vibes with its vibrant colours and elegant design.

Let’s not forget the scones, because even in Wonderland, some traditions are sacred. ANTI:DOTE’s Madagascar Vanilla Scones are the scone-iest scones you’ll ever scone (say that five times fast). They’re served with scrumptious Devonshire cream, lemon butter curd, and strawberry marmalade.

Take note: this one of those times where you absolutely cannot, should not, will not skip out on drinks — you'll thank us later! The Imagine cocktail is a fun blend that mixes gin, hibiscus, coconut mezcal, clear melon, honey, and oolong peach milk tea into something that tastes like it shouldn’t work, but totally does.

If you’re more of a mocktail person, the Why Alice? is where it’s at. Its got Lyre’s London Dry, hibiscus, agave, clear melon, honey, and peach tea— basically, it’s like drinking a garden in the best way possible. Plus, this drink is absolute mesmerising with its shimmery shades of turquoise and gold, that looks as picture-perfect as its alcoholic counterpart.

The Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Afternoon Tea at ANTI:DOTE is available throughout the month of September. It is priced at $68++ per adult with a choice of two non-alcoholic beverages (mocktail, coffee, or tea) and $35++ per child (6 to 12 years old).

Plus, National Library Board and Singapore app users can enjoy 10% off the high tea menu when they present their eCard upon payment. Make your reservations here or call 6431 6156 to book.
