Rebecca Lim & Matthew Webster Welcomes Baby Boy

Singaporean actress Rebecca Lim, recently became a mum. She happily welcomed a sweet baby boy on 30 January, sharing the heartwarming news through The Celebrity Agency. The newborn, weighing 3.8kg, made his entrance into the world through a natural birth process that involved 14 hours of labour pain.

This marks the first child for the 37-year-old actress. She tied the knot with Singaporean Matthew Webster at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, in November 2022. When asked about her confinement period, Rebecca mentioned that she plans to have it at home. "It’ll be over the Lunar New Year period, so this will be an unforgettable Lunar New Year for all of us. My mum will probably be very busy as my sister will be expected to deliver while I’m in confinement."

She added that she packed all her red packets to give away during Chinese New Year before she went into labour because she knew she’d be very busy through the new year.

Lim, who was awarded the Best Leading Female Performance title at the Asian Television Awards for her role in thriller Third Rail (2022), plans to take a break to rest and adapt to her new role as a mother before making a comeback to work.

"There are just so many things that I need to learn and unlearn. Also, I don’t wish to miss out on these growing months where the baby changes every other day. I’ll also definitely need a doctor’s advice as to when I’m fit enough to go back to work."

She adds: “I hope that my baby will grow up to be kind, respectful and happy. And that my new family will make lots of wonderful memories together, with our families and close friends for many healthy years ahead.”
