Local Artistes Andie Chen and Rebecca Lim Win Big At The 28th Asian Television Awards
The 28th Asian Television Awards has once again put Singapore on the map as a powerhouse in the television industry. In a tough competition against actors from across the region, local artistes Andie Chen and Rebecca Lim, clinched prestigious awards for their standout roles in the psychological thriller, Third Rail. Mediacorp, Singapore's leading media company, walked away with an impressive total of six wins.

Chen, known for his versatile acting skills, received the Best Leading Male Performance – Digital award for his portrayal of a complex character in Third Rail. Equally deserving of praise is Rebecca Lim, who was honoured with the Best Leading Female Performance – Digital for her remarkable portrayal in the series. Both artistes took to Instagram to express their gratitude.
Andie wrote: "I want to express my gratitude to @jeanthelionmum and @ochrepedro for trusting me with the complex role of John Ho and to @eelinofficial Taiwan for supporting my decision to always be a part of Singapore’s film and TV industry. The actress also expressed her gratitude on Instagram on Sunday and congratulated her co-star, writing, "So thankful for this huge honour, I am so grateful to be awarded Best Leading Female Performance (Digital) at the 28th Asian Television Awards. To my entire team, thank you all. This would not have been possible without all of your hard work and talent. Congratulations @andiechen on your win too! 'Third Rail' is a psychological thriller drama about armed hostage-takers hijack a train in Singapore. The story sets the stage for intense negotiations by crisis experts trying to handle the situation.

In addition to Chen and Lim's wins, Mediacorp took home four more awards. The thriller Silent Walls, starring Tay Ying, Andie Chen, Ayden Sng, Desmond Ng, and others, won the award for Best Single Drama or Telemovie. Another series, the fantasy romance Oppa, Saranghae!, with Rui En, Kim Jae-hoon, Tasha Low, and Mei Xin, grabbed the Best Theme Song prize for 'Wind From The Galaxy' by Kim Jae-hoon, XiaoJiu, and Zheng Jianxing. And lastly, the TV series Metaverse Nation, produced by Chloe Cho, scored two wins - Best Infotainment Programme and Best Extended Reality Project.
