One of the biggest J-culture events of the year is happening over this weekend — we're talking about AFA (Anime Festival Asia), which will see all kinds of anime, comics and game booths come together under one roof. For those who don't know yet, this year's HoYo Fest Singapore is located right smack at the main entrance of the event venue at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, making it even more of a hotspot than it already is.

If you're planning a visit to the uber-popular booth, which will be available between 24 - 26 November, here are 5 exciting activities you can look forward to trying there!

#1: Shop for event-exclusive merchandise

Whether you're a diehard fan of miHoYo's attractive Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, or simply on the prowl for a souvenir to commemorate your AFA experience, the HoYo Fest merchandise section probably has a spot on your to-visit list. However, due to the high demand and lack of space, shoppers will have to line up via a ticket system.

Here's how it works: drop by the HoYo Fest booth as soon as you get into the AFA venue and grab a ticket (we have heard that tickets for the day can run out as early as 10 am!). Each slip comes with a timeslot, which states when you will be allowed into the store. Simply present the ticket when you return for entry.

All the hassle of entering this booth pays off since this merchandise area carries items exclusive to HoYo Fest, such as these Dan Heng and Aether Chibi Cardholders ($15 each).

#2: Snap photos at the free HoYo Fest photo booth

Ready, set, smile! Right next to the merchandise section is a free photo booth where visitors can get printed shots of themselves against a HoYo Fest mural. There is enough space for more than one person, so grab your friends and strike a pose together! Each photo comes with two physical prints, making it ideal for couple and bestie shots.

#3: Redeem limited-edition freebies

Who doesn't love freebies? It's easy to catch 'em all at the various game sections in HoYo Fest's booth, especially since each redemption only requires players to complete simple tasks (or have a little luck)! You can receive free sticker sheets when you flash your player UID to the staff, collect illustration cards by answering game-related trivia, and even try your luck at rolling dice for a chance to take home a cute headband!

#4: Snap a selfie or two at an array of photo spots

It's not a visit to HoYo Fest unless you go home with a photo gallery full of new pictures, and we all know it. While fans have their pick of character standees to pose with, there are also a variety of photo spots — like an epic throne — worth checking out. If you pop by at the right time, you may also get the chance to take pictures with the cutest Pom-Pom mascot!

#5: Try playing a demo of an unreleased game — Zenless Zone Zero

One of the most exciting things about playing an unreleased game is knowing that you're one of the first to try it out. For the first time in Singapore, you can play the demo of an upcoming game titled Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) at the hands-on gaming stations set up at HoYo Fest's booth. Complete with a slick and stylish design and a comparatively modern setting, ZZZ does not yet have a release date but already looks set to steal more than a couple of hearts.
