Meet Your Fave Sanrio Characters & Feel The Holiday Magic At This Christmas Wanderland In Town
There's always so much to do and see during the Christmas season, but here's something every Sanrio fan will absolutely want to check out this year: the Marina Square Christmas Wanderland! From now till 1 January 2024, the mall will be completely decked out in Sanrio-themed festive decor.
From a 6-metre-tall pastel pink Christmas tree to Christmas activities and plenty of adorable photo spots, visitors can expect family-friendly good fun for all ages. What's more, there will be opportunities to get up close and personal with various Sanrio characters during their scheduled meet-and-greet sessions!

Have a ball at the Magical Rink

Head down to the Magical Rink area and have a go at bowling — only with a giant ball and pins! Each player gets two turns at throwing the ball: those who manage to knock down two pins win a free standard ice cream cup from Betsubara, while knocking down one pin will get you a free McDonald's vanilla cone. But worry not if you turn out to be hopeless at this game, because scoring no points will still get you some candy!
Here are timings for the bowling game:
23 - 30 November: 3.30pm - 6pm
4, 5, 11 and 12 December: 3.30pm - 6pm
18 - 22 December: 3.30pm - 6pm
Besides bowling, visitors can also enjoy a delightful snowfall experience, all while surrounded by Sanrio characters! These snow showers last 15 minutes per session, and we recommend getting to the magical rink ahead of time since there is a limited standing capacity. You can catch the snow showers every day between 23 November and 31 December, at 2pm, 7.30pm, and 8.30pm.
Meet and greet the Sanrio characters

There's no such thing as being too old to meet your favourite characters, especially when they're as cute as the Sanrio crew! Get your chance to go onstage and snap some photos with Pompompurin, Hello Kitty and Gudetama from 1 to 17 December, on Wednesdays - Fridays at 4pm, and weekends at 4pm and 6pm.
Shop for character goods at the Sanrio Merchandise Fair

Add to your existing Sanrio collection or begin the hunt for festive gifts at the Sanrio Merchandise Fair, which will be up and running in the atrium from 24 November to 1 January. We spotted loads of cute toys and collectibles during our visit, along with apparel and homeware featuring popular Sanrio characters!

Marina Square Rewards Members rejoice! Not only can you redeem a set of 2 Sanrio character gift wrappers (of the same design) with a minimum spend of $60, there are also Sanrio character mugs up for grabs with every $180 spent at Marina Square. Each of these can be redeemed with 3 same-day combined receipts from qualifying stores, but each member will be limited to 1 redemption per day.

Of course, what's a Sanrio-themed Christmas without character-themed photo spots? Luckily for fans, there are a ton of those at this Christmas Wanderland. You can spot popular characters like Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, My Melody, Kuromi and Little Twin Stars, each at their own unique photo zone!
