There's A New Adorable jELLYCAT Afternoon Tea Available Exclusively At Waldorf Astoria Beijing
If you're thinking of going on a holiday in Beijing, perhaps the jELLYCAT afternoon tea at Waldorf Astoria Beijing is the final push you need to book your tickets!
jELLYCAT's quirky plushies are some of the most covetable collectible toys, and their huggable Bashful Bunny in particular has a firm hold on everyone young at heart.
Inspired by jELLYCAT toys and the sakura season, this limited-time afternoon tea set comes with the most delightful little treats that look too cute to eat. The sweet and savoury morsels are served on a luxurious jewellery box, accompanied with tea, scones and a strawberry cake. To top off the experience, diners will get to bring home a jELLYCAT plushie.

It starts with a serving of the traditional high tea essentials, scones and clotted cream, as well as the unique black tea scones, strawberry jam and orange marmalade.

On the drawer are five types of savoury bites including King Crab Meat with Mango "Caviar" and Iberian Ham with Honey Melon & Black Truffle Mayonnaise.

The highlight of the savouries is no doubt the Smoked Salmon Finger Orange Mousse, which resembles jELLYCAT's Vivacious Vegetable carrot plush toy.

Moving on to the sweets on the top tray, there are pretty little desserts like Vanilla Ice Cream Cone and Mini Pink Sakura Profiteroles.

The ones diners will save for last are most likely the Jellycat Peach Mint Cake and Blueberry Mousse "Vivacious Aubergine". These desserts look just like Bashful Bunny and Vivacious Aubergine plush toys. The chefs have nailed not just the shape but also the furry texture!

Ending the meal on a sweet note is a cup of coffee with a Fuddlewuddle Cat design.

The Waldorf Astoria x jELLYCAT afternoon tea is pricey, as one would expect, but not outrageously so, at RMB 988 (SGD 192.10) per set. That works out to be about $96 per person for two diners. It will be available till 31 May 2023.
