The holly jolly season is in full swing at Changi Airport, for the annual Changi Festive Village is back until 2 January 2023 with a lineup of fun-loving activities. We're talking about an underground carnival boasting over 30 indoor rides and game booths, a dinosaur-themed go-kart with neon lights and electrifying beats, the iconic glamping experience at Jewel Changi Airport, and so much more.

T3 Underground Carnival

Spanning over two levels of Terminal 3, the underground carnival is split into three sections - The Great World, The Modern World and The Future World - seeing more than 30 carnival rides, game booths and IG-worthy backdrops.

The Great World is a blast from the past as it takes you back to the famous Tua Seh Kai Great World Amusement Park with classic carnival games and Uncle Ringo rides, a heritage photo zone and a mama shop selling old-school snacks.

The Modern World has game booths such as Ball the Clown, a ball toss game, and King Hammer, where you can try your luck, and if you win, your accuracy and strength will be rewarded with larger-than-life plushies. This area also houses a 3D shooting gallery where you can take on other players and sharpen your shooting skills.

For more action-packed activities and a glimpse into what a futuristic funfair looks like, head down to The Future World. Here, you can experience bumping into cars indoors at the Wonder Wheels attraction or pretend to be an F1 driver at the Dino Kart 3.0 circuit - a dinosaur-themed go-kart complete with neon lights and disco beats which opens from 10 November onwards.

You can purchase carnival credits on the iChangi app from $10 (11 credits) or in-person at the ticketing counter from $25 (25 credits). Separately, admission to Dino Kart 3.0 starts from $28 and participants are required to be at least 13 years old and wear covered shoes at all times.

Glamping in the Clouds

If you love being one with nature without roughing it out, try Glamping in the Clouds in the middle of Jewel Changi Airport. This signature experience returns this year with two options you can consider: Glampcation and Glampicnic.

This glamping staycation lets you and three other guests unwind under the stars in a marine-themed, Avatar-inspired tent that offers beautiful views of the cascading waters of the Rain Vortex.

Each space is decked with fairy lights and two queen-sized air beds, making the experience cosy and relaxing. The Glampcation package (from $400) also comes with Avatar 2 merch, tickets to River Wonders, as well as credits for the T3 Underground Carnival.

Glampicnic is perfect for those who don’t want to stay over but still want to soak in the vibes at the tents. Suitable for up to six guests, this activity welcomes you to bring your own picnic basket or pre-order from Changi Eats, where you can mix and match your favourite food and drinks from a vast array of dining selections at Jewel and Changi.

This year’s camp revolves around sustainability, thus having green-inspired family activities you can embark on, such as an Amazing Race-style quest around the airport to learn about Changi’s sustainable efforts and a craft workshop to create eco-friendly festive ornaments. The day will then end with a sleepover within the Changi Experience Studio.

Changi Airport has pulled out all the stops for this year’s festive season, from marine-themed lights and decor to a 16-metre tall Prudential Christmas Tree at Shiseido Forest Valley and snowfall occurring half-hourly from 7.35pm to 10.35pm daily, where you can live out your white Christmas dream.

But that’s not all. The quintessential Jewel experience, a.k.a the HSBC Rain Vortex Light & Sound Show, is getting a holiday revamp. So the usual theatrics is going to be replaced with an Avatar: The Way of Water-inspired rendition, created by renowned water-feature designer WET Design.
