IKEA Singapore Has Cute New Animal-Shaped Buns, Halloween-Themed Cupcakes & Rainbow Cake
Remember IKEA’s super cute shark buns, which were available only for a limited period of time? They’re now back in Singapore just in time for Children’s Day - along with a new never-before-seen animal addition. On top of that are other attractive-looking confections, including Halloween cupcakes to celebrate spooky season.

For those of you who missed out on IKEA Singapore’s viral Little Shark Bun, here’s your second chance. Made to look more cute than scary - which is uncharacteristic of sharks in general - this blue bao-like bun is stuffed with red bean filling and costs just $2 per piece.

Joining the menu is the new Little Turtle Bun. It’s priced slightly higher at $2.90, but just look at the attention to detail, from the curves of the flippers to the grooves in the shell! This will be made available from 10 October 2022 onwards.

With Halloween around the corner, you can also look forward to IKEA Singapore’s spook-tacular limited-time Halloween Cupcakes, priced at $4.50 each. Despite their name, they look more like mousse cakes than the traditional cupcakes we’re familiar with which come in paper casings.
One is designed to look like a jack-o'-lantern, and is described as a nutty milk chocolate walnut cake. The other looks like a mummy, in a forest berries cheesecake flavour. Both will be available from 29 October to 20 November 2022.

Prefer something happy and colourful instead? There’s the Rainbow Cake ($4.50), which is sure to bring a smile to your face. Unlike most rainbow cakes which have plain white cream on top, this one is decorated with a fun multi-coloured frosting that almost looks like confetti. This is already available, and will be around for a limited period till 24 October 2022.
