Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

After almost a month of anticipation, it was finally our time to channel our inner Alice at The Secret Patio's pop-up event, Have I Gone Mad?.

The event space is now a mini Wonderland where visitors can enjoy an air-conditioned indoor picnic from 12 to 14 and 19 to 21 August.

The first zone we stepped into was the Red Queen's Garden that had pretty picnic areas decorated with fresh flowers and topiary trees. We noticed the little detail of the few white roses among others that were "painted red" - a cute reference to the Card Soldiers' panicked attempt to cover up their mistake.

The centrepiece was a swing covered in flowers and complete with props like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum collars, blue hair bows and a mushroom-shaped hat. Completing the immersive Wonderland experience was whimsical music playing in the background and "butterflies" suspended in the air.

After that, we ventured past a floral doorway surrounded by charming nonsensical signs, and into the Floral Forest, another picturesque picnic area. We imagine this is where diners have shrunk after drinking a 'Drink Me' potion as they wander past giant flowers.

Feeling peckish, we headed to the Bakery Brera counter to choose our pastries and tea, then settled down into a cosy picnic area.

Diners can pick their own tea cups and tea pots! We went with the most mismatched combination possible to get that chaotic aesthetic of The Mad Tea Party.

After selecting a mix of sweet and savoury pastries, one of Bakery Brera's co-founders was there to help heat them up in a toaster. The pastries were all flakey and crisp on the outside, giving way to soft, buttery goodness inside. Our favourites were the Almond Croissant, Triple Cheese Chicken Ham Croissant and Kouign Amann. Other options include Mushroom Danish, Cruffin, Bacon Potato Danish, Gourmet Sausage Croissant and Pain Au Chocolat.

The tea selection has Standard Tea ($5) with classic options like Earl Grey, Super Berries and a Mystery Tea. We went for the good ol' English Breakfast tea, although we were eyeing the Premium Tea ($7) range which includes more unique selections like Hanami, Honey Pear Tea and Nymph of The Nile. Non-tea drinkers can choose from the Cold Brews ($8.80) like the Latte, Dark Chocolate and Mocha.

If you're in a gambling mood and willing to splurge $18 on a surprise tipple, go for one of the Mystery Serums that come with cute 'Drink Me' tags. We didn't get to try these, so you're on your own!

Besides enjoying the photo ops, pastries and drinks, diners will also have a bit of fun with Alice in Wonderland-themed activities. First, try unlocking a treasure box full of freebies by guessing the right key that'll open it.

While we won't spoil the fun by telling you the shape of the keyhole, we can say that it's tiny, so pick a key with a small tip for a higher chance of unlocking it!

Guests are also challenged to find a hidden Dormouse in the cafe. Hint: it's a small figurine that fits in the palm of the hand.

Entry is priced at $39.90 nett/pax or $59.90 nett/pax for an additional live show. The entry fee comes with two pastries of your choice. Note that there will be a mix of picnic seating areas and table dining areas so it's not guaranteed you'll get floor seats!
