Fancy treating yourself to a new pair of sneakers? Well, this week might be the time to give in to the temptation as New Balance has a new Grey Day Pop-Up Studio where you can enjoy bites, IG-worthy backdrops and complimentary photobooth sessions with purchase.

Aptly located at the sleek and grey-tone Alchemist at Design Orchard, the pop-up celebrates New Balance's heritage and iconic grey colourways. On display are gender-neutral apparel, with the spotlight on three sneakers - XC-72, 57/40 and 327.

While you're shopping, you can take a breather and rest your feet while enjoying Alchemist's light bites and coffee.

New Balance x Fotomat Studios

From 12 to 15 May 2022, visitors who purchase a pair of footwear from the pop-up studio can enjoy a 20-minute self-directed photo booth session organised in collaboration with Fotomat Studios.

All images taken during the pop-up event are powered by the self-photography studio which  provides a professional setup and equipment to capture the most natural images.

If you're an efficient selfie taker, you could squeeze in shots of multiple outfits. There's a dressing room beside the studio where you can get into your different grey outfits.

The images will be featured at the #MakeitGrey pop-up studio, New Balance Experience Stores at Paragon, Bugis Junction and Chamber store.

Exclusively at the New Balance Experience store in Paragon, from 14 to 15 May 2022, customers who purchase a pair of footwear from the Grey Day Pack will also be entitled to the self- directed photo booth session. On 14 May, visitors who upload photos of the their grey fits with #NBGreyDay and #MakeitGreySG on their social channels will enjoy free ice cream while experiencing Grey Day.

On to the sneakers! First is the XC-72, a 70s-inspired design with a chunky outsole and an elongated heel that has a statement look.

Next is the 57/40, a retro-futuristic update of the classic 574.

Lastly is the 327, which is a fusion of the 70s running shoe with tools and processes available to today's designers.

All Grey Day shoes are also sustainably made. They're manufactured with more than 50% recycled or organic materials in the upper. The leather used supports responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group.

Buskers on Orchard Road

In the spirit of Grey Day and championing the fearlessly independent, New Balance will be collaborating with three buskers - Arya (@aryaunta), Jonathan (@tranceonfire), and Jason (@jasonyuuu) - who will be performing on Orchard Road.
