New $30 Lolita Fashion Experience In Singapore Comes With Outfits, Backdrops, Basic Makeup & Styling
For the average person, the uber cute and doll-like aesthetic of Japanese Lolita fashion is fascinating yet somewhat beyond reach. Those frilly dresses, Mary Jane shoes and elaborate accessories cost a pretty penny, and not many of us have the confidence or lifestyle to don such outfits as daily wear.
If you've always wanted to channel your inner Harajuku girl dreams without the commitment, here's your chance: a new Lolita fashion experience in Singapore that costs just $29.90.

The place offering this unique experience is none other than iWAN (i玩) Studio. This new selfie studio with 11 themed zones first opened its doors in December 2021 and as promised, they have made revamps and introduced new backdrops and outfits!
There were Chinese New Year specials followed by Valentine's Day themes, and now, a new concept that just launched on 1 March is their Lolita fashion backdrops and outfits.
One is a gothic setup that The Addams Family would approve of. The space is draped with a lush black fabric that has light grey flecks which give it more dimension on camera. The props include Victorian-inspired furniture and little home decor items to complete the doll house theme.

Another backdrop has a brighter colour scheme with European-style elements and dried flowers.

On to the important part, the outfits! The studio has a new range of Lolita fashion outfits ranging from simple dresses to more elaborate ones, as well as petticoats to get an extra poufy skirt.

Naturally, we went for the most extravagant dresses and piled on the accessories. Jewellery, tiaras, bonnets, sleeves and all that jazz.

If you own shoes that would go with Lolita fashion, I'd recommend bringing them along as the only appropriate pair I could find were the white heels (brogues are the model's own).
The staff are available to provide basic makeup and hair styling services and if you're lucky, you might bump into a professional photographer who'll help you snap a few photos. Sessions start from $29.90/hr on weekdays and $35.90/hr on weekends per person. Children aged 6 to 12 get 50% off and admission is free for children under 6.
To commemorate International Women's Day, iWan Studio has launched Project Makeover, where three lucky winners will get full-day access at iWan Studio with a full makeover and professional photo shoot session.
To participate in this campaign, simply share the poster below on your social media feed (Instagram, Facebook or WeChat) and screenshot the post and send it to iWan Studio's WhatsApp or Wechat account from now till 12 March 2022.
