Launched in South Korea earlier this month, the Sanrio Hello Kitty Rice Cooker is now available in Singapore. It comes in a sweet pastel pink and has a sleek and minimalist design with a large Hello Kitty print on one side.

Measuring about 15 x 17.5 x 18cm, this mini rice cooker will work best for one or two-people households and is perfect for small kitchens with limited counter space.

It comes with a rice cooker bowl, removable inner lid, rice scoop spatula, measuring cup and power cord. Note that everything is in Korean but the seller will send instructions in English as well.

The rice cooker has three functions to cook rice, baby food and keep warm. It can also be used to cook porridge and steam food like potatoes.

The drawback to this rice cooker is that it requires some extra steps when cooking. It's recommended for you to wash your rice in a separate bowl as the coating of the bowl may wear off as you brush it. You should also make sure the outer side of the bowl is dry before placing it in the rice cooker.
