Malaika Arora Just Revealed Her 3 Ingredient Hair Oil Recipe, The Secret To Her Long & Lustrous Hair
Indian women are very much aware of the importance of using hair oil, Bollywood stars included. A good champi not only is beneficial for the health of your hair but also relaxes your mind and body. Recently, Malaika Arora took it to IGTV and revealed three oils that can be a game-changer for your hair by enhancing its thickness, smoothness and strength.
Malaika says, "For some women, hair is their identity and they deserve equal care just like your other body parts", and we couldn't agree more! This traditional Indian habit of applying herbs and oils for a head massage increases blood circulation in the scalp, nourishes the roots and transforms your hair quality.
In this video, Malaika also revealed that she has a dedicated weekend hair care regime where she uses a mixture of three oils along with some natural hair care ingredients. Here is the recipe she recommended in her caption for a healthy and luscious mane.
You will need:
- Olive oil
- Castor oil
- Cold press coconut oil
- Fenugreek seeds
- Curry leaves
To prepare this hair oil recipe, mix equal proportions of coconut oil, castor oil and olive oil in a glass jar. Malaika refers to this concoction as the "holy trinity" for hair care. Add some fenugreek/ methi seeds and a few curry leaves to the mixture and leave it for a few days. This will allow the oils to absorb all the goodness from the leaves and seed.
Since this oil can be stored for a long time, you can massage your scalp whenever you want for a lil pampering session at home. Simply take a small amount in a bowl, warm it up in the microwave and use. "Let the oil stay in your hair for around 45-60 minutes and then wash your hair thoroughly. You can try this remedy once a week and I can assure you that your hair will start looking thicker, more lustrous, with less hair fall," Malaika confirmed.
Why this remedy works:
Fenugreek or methi seeds contain a high amount of protein and nicotinic acid, both of which are essential for strong and healthy hair. Curry leaves, on the other hand, are a rich source of proteins and beta carotene that control hair fall and promote hair growth.
