We just got our hands on the new AERIN Cedar VIolet Eau de Parfum and we’re absolutely enamoured by its warm, mellow scent. Unlike the typical floral perfume that can get overpoweringly heavy, this one is well-balanced with woody and musky notes. Inspired by the peaceful Adirondack Mountains - of which Aerin Lauder especially loves during fall - this invigorating scent is suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions.

For the uninitiated, ESPRIQUE is the sister cosmetic line to Japanese skincare brand Chiffon Matte Rouge, and they’ve just released a new range of Chiffon Matte Rouge. A good liquid lipstick formula with strong pigment and a non-sticky, non-drying, smudge-free finish is tricky to achieve, but I found this ticking all my boxes. It felt light and powdery smooth on my lips, and didn’t budge or feel uncomfortably tight even after long hours out with a mask.

Eating and drinking with this on is no problem either! Of course, any matte liquid lip colour cannot compare to the slickness of gloss or buttery texture of bullet-style lipsticks, so that’s the trade-off you’d have to pay for the long-lastingness and solid colour payoff. Those with drier skin can layer some clear balm on top if you’re worried about your lip lines looking a tad prominent.
