Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

Noticed an influx of sakura-related things in Singapore? Perhaps they're capitalising on our travel-deprived selves, and we're not complaining!

One of the latest sakura launches we're swooning over is ramen restaurant IPPUDO Mandarin Gallery's transformation into an Instagrammable mini Japan.

From 1 April 2021, IPPUDO Mandarin Gallery will turn into an Insta-worthy sakura paradise that'll take you back to Japan temporarily. The ramen chain restaurant has nine outlets in Singapore but will only be making over this particular outlet.

The Japan experience goes beyond the sakura flower decor and to the menu with two limited edition cherry blossom-inspired additions.

The Ohanami Sakura Cocktail ($7 per glass) is a pretty pink sweet plum wine with a cherry blossom aroma and floating Sakura blossom. An IPPUDO Original recipe from Japan, this special cocktail is prepared with premium Kyoho Umeshu from Fukuoka Prefecture. Get your phone ready for Instastory content as it'll be dusted with festive pink sprinkles when served.

The Ohanami Sakura Umegaemochi ($6 per set) is a popular specialty rice cake with sweet Azuki bean filling. IPPUDO adds a dreamy twist to the traditional Japanese dessert with real sakura flowers. It comes with a pot of hot Sakura Green Tea infused with a whole Sakura flower - perfectly preserved in full bloom.
