If you like your Instagram or TikTok feed filled with cute food and your oppa's (or other equally pretty) faces, there's a Japanese chef you can follow to get both at once: Ikeda Koh (池田航).

Born in 1995, the 26-year-old chef rapidly gained popularity on TikTok in 2019 for his good looks and cute food creations. He now has has a million followers on TikTok and over 90k Instagram followers.

His growing fame led to acting opportunities in the Japanese entertainment industry like cooking-themed TV series Grand Maison Tokyo (グランメゾン東京).

Ikeda's signature is kawaii-style food creations with rice shaped into a character like My Melody, Totoro and Winnie-the-Pooh and covered with an omelette "blanket".

While there are plenty of Instagram accounts that produce the same kawaii food content, his page offers something more for his audience, i.e. his face! This chef doesn't just post photos and videos of the food he makes, he poses with it too.
