Louis Vuitton’s Famous Red Shipping Containers Are Finally In Singapore For Swaggy Photo Ops
After going on a “world tour” of sorts to fashion capitals like Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai, Louis Vuitton’s famous red shipping containers have finally made their way to Singapore and are now parked at Orchard Road, specifically outside ION Orchard, for swaggy photo opportunities.

This Louis Vuitton travelling exhibition was conceptualised by Virgil Abloh, the brand’s Creative Director. Since the pandemic put things to a standstill, he came up with the idea of having LV’s Men’s Spring Summer 2021 (SS21) collection as a roving one.
For this campaign, he also came up with a bunch of quirky-looking cartoon characters which journey the world together in these very containers. You’ll find one of them as an inflatable figure lying atop the installation.
There are plenty of ways you can take advantage of these striking containers at ION Orchard for your Instagram #OOTDS - here are some photos by influencers and Instagram users for inspiration.
To get most colour in your frame, take a close-up half-body shot, with the red backdrop entirely filling up the rest of your picture - rather than taking a wide-angle shot of the whole set-up.
You can also search around for wordings, such as this “DO NOT OPEN” label, to add an edgier feel to your photos.
If all else fails, leaning against or sitting on the barrier will give you that effortlessly cool look. You could even get your photographer aka “IG boyfriend” to tilt the camera a little for a stylishly skewed shot.
The containers look especially futuristic under the glow of ION’s flights, and the mirrored surface of the building just adds to that whole cosmic vibe.
It is not clear as to when these LV shipping containers will be in Singapore until, so hop on down before they get sent off to their next pit stop.
