"I Not Stupid" Actor Joshua Ang Gets A Happy Divorce, Calls For Celebration & Asks Fans To Congratulate Him

Remember the 2002 Singaporean comedy film I Not Stupid? Those were some good ol' times. Well, one of the child actors from the film, Joshua Ang, has just announced his divorce from wife of two years.

Best known for playing Boon Hock in Jack Neo's box office hit I Not Stupid at just 13 years old, Joshua retired from show business in 2010 to focus on his family's recycling business.

Despite his retirement, he still kept his fans updated on his Facebook and Instagram. In 2018, Joshua shared the news that he and air stewardess Shannon Low had tied the knot and the pair welcomed a son the same year.

Last night on 14 December, Joshua made an announcement via Instagram that he and his wife were parting ways, although he did not include the reason for their separation.

It seems like Joshua is looking on the positive side when it comes to his divorce. His post was captioned "Divorces are made in Heaven. - Oscar Wilde. Finally some bit of good news, should I have some champagne or cake? Some people see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not. So, cake and champagne it is."

He urged his followers not to feel sad about the news, stating "Also, please don't tell me you're sorry to hear that I broke the news. Congratulate me instead." He then ended the post with a winking emoji.

He also reposted an old photo of him and his wife on his Facebook account with her face blurred out and the words "Happy Divorce" and unshackled chains over the picture of their son's sonogram. The post is captioned "This calls for a cake!".
