New World Carnival: SG’s 1st Integrated Arcade With 12 VR Games & Classic Favourites At Marina Square
While new forms of digital entertainment like VR and AR games are highly popular, good ol’ arcade games never go out of style. Combining the best of the two is New World Carnival, a newly-opened arcade at Marina Square.
This mammoth 9,624 square ft establishment is Singapore’s first-ever integrated arcade, with 12 types of Virtual Reality (VR) games and classic amusement machines for a fully immersive gaming experience. And it’s reasonably affordable too, so you don’t have to pinch pennies and can instead go trigger-happy with unbridled fun.

New World Carnival is all about different forms of gaming entertainment - whether it is old-school classics found at carnivals, or high-tech VR experiences. Of the latter alone, there are 12 different types of games available here, including interactive full-body ones that will seemingly transport you to a different universe altogether with up to 4 friends.

One of these is the VR racing experience, which lets you choose from 6 tracks and go on an exhilarating ride where you can actually feel the drift. It’s almost like tearing up the streets in a real race car - just much safer, with no driving license needed.

More VR fun can be enjoyed at the arcade's very own VR Sky Park, which offers a selection of different game simulations, with everything from roller coasters to beam balancing.

There’s also an Augmented Reality (AR) racing experience, with special visuals and sound effects that elevate the whole gameplay.

Aside from those futuristic games that you won’t find at other regular mall arcades in Singapore, New World Carnival also has the standard selection of evergreens we all know and love from our childhoods.

Some of these arcade games include basketball, coin pusher towers, shooting, and a hammer jackpot machine, among many others. You know, the whole works.

Their air hockey game in particular comes with a twist - instead of just 2 goal zones, it features 1 goal per side, which allows up to 4 players to have an entire side of the table to themselves instead of having to share 2v2. This surely makes for a more adrenaline-pumping experience as the competition will be amped up, with each person having a larger space to defend against more opponents!

Like any good arcade out there, New World Carnival also has rows upon rows of claw machines where you can try your hand at winning yourself some cuddly plushies or figurines. All of the toys in the machines here are 100% authentic and licensed, and imported from Japan or USA - no pirated knockoffs!

Go on and snag stuffed toy versions of your favourite characters from popular franchises like Disney and Pokemon, as well as Japanese brands like Pote Usa and Amuse.
