Travelling solely for leisure will have to be postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 but it won't hurt to at least dream about your next holiday!

We have compiled a list of some of the must-visit photo spots in Seoul, South Korea for those who are planning future trips to the country rich in culture, good food and beautiful places.

Remember to take lots of insta-worthy photos when you are there!

#1 Starfield Library 

Located in COEX Mall, this famous library is known for its ceiling-high bookshelves filled with tons of books that make insta-worthy backdrops for photos. That particular curved bookshelf shown in the picture above is the one most people flock to for photos, but other spaces of the public library are equally stunning! The bookshelves are lit up in the night, making the space look even more ethereal and relaxing.

#2 Common Ground

Common Ground is Korea's first cultural space to be made out of shipping containers! Those blue shipping containers with a minimalist design are in line with Common Ground's motto of expanding street fashion and culture of independence. This is a great place for hypebeast-style photos and you can even go shopping and have a meal there when you are done with your mini photoshoot.

#3 Dongdaemun Design Plaza

This futuristic-looking architecture designed by world renowned architect Zaha Hadid is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Korean design industry. Get ready to be awed by the building and its interior design upon stepping foot at the DDP. The silver exterior is a great backdrop for photos too, so make sure to do your coolest poses when you are there!

#4 N Seoul Tower

When you head to N Seoul Tower aka Namsan Tower, make sure to walk around Namsan Mountain, where the actual tower is located. The area is insta-worthy because of all the colourful love locks people have attached to the railings. Remember to find a spot where both the love locks and tower can be seen in your photo!

#5 Ihwa Mural Village

Murals were added to the village in hopes of revitalising the neighbourhood. Since then, it has become a photo spot for many locals and tourists alike. Beautiful murals adorn the walls and will look good in photos, but remember to be mindful when visiting as there are residents living there!

#6 Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a must-visit when you are in Korea! The hanoks date back to the Joseon dynasty and now operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses. Rent a hanbok and wear it there for the full experience! As Bukchon Hanok Village is an actual neighbourhood with people's homes, visitors are advised to be respectful at all times.

#7 Changdeokgung 

Changdeokgung is one of the five remaining Joseon palaces and is the one to visit if you are looking to immerse in culture without all the crowds. It's not as popular as Gyeongbokgung but definitely equally stunning!

#8 Haneul Park

Haneul Park is the most popular of the five parks situated in World Cup Park which was built to commemorate the 17th FIFA World Cup. It's situated on the highest part of World Cup Park and offers breathtaking views of Seoul. Silver grass aka eulalia are in full bloom in October while October to November are the best months to catch the insta-worthy pink muhly grass!

#10 Yeouido Park

Yeouido Park is located near the Hangang River and is especially beautiful in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom! Head there for a picnic and to see cherry blossoms pretty in pink up close.
