We get how it can get frustrating though, especially if you are someone who loves wearing lipsticks. Having dry lips would make your lipstick sink in to the fine lines, making them look wrinkly ? It's also definitely not a cute look to have your lips peeling while you are talking to someone too.

So, here are some tips on how to stop your lips from cracking. Read on to find out more!

#1 Drink lots of water

This might sound like a no-brainer but yes, drinking lots of water is the first step that you should take to stop your lips from chapping.

When your body is dehydrated, your lips will start drying up too. So, drink the recommended eight cups of water a day and you will surely start to see improvement in your chapped lips and even your skin!

#2 Apply lip balm regularly

Put on lip balm before you do your makeup so that there is enough time to moisturise your lips before you apply lipstick.

Cold air can be very drying so if you sleep in an air-conditioned room, apply a thicker layer of lip balm before going to bed!

Here's a list of lip balms that actually work:

#3 Use a lip scrub regularly

If our skin needs to be exfoliated, then so do our lips! Using a lip scrub will soften and exfoliate away the dead skin that causes dry patches on your lips.

Try making a lip scrub on your own using ingredients you already have at home to save some money!
