Squid Game Season 3 Teaser Sets The Stage For One Last Showdown
The games aren’t over yet. Netflix has just released the teaser for Squid Game Season 3, and it’s about to get even more intense. This final chapter picks up after the huge Season 2 cliffhanger, with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), a.k.a. Player 456, going head-to-head with the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) one last time.

Season 2 ended with Gi-hun trying — and failing — to take down the game from within. His plan backfired, leading to the death of his close friend Jung-bae, who was killed by the Front Man in disguise. Now, with things heating up again, Gi-hun’s back in the game, but he’s not the same man we saw before.

According to creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, Gi-hun will be at a “critical crossroads” in Season 3, where he’ll have to make big choices — keep fighting or walk away. And while the new trailer doesn’t give away too much, it’s clear the stakes are higher than ever.

Alongside Lee Jung-jae, familiar faces like Yim Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, Wi Ha-joon, Jo Yu-ri, and Park Sung-hoon are back too, since most of the alliance made it through the chaos last season. Netflix also released a series of stills from season 3:

Season 2 broke records on Netflix, becoming the most-watched series in a single week after its December release. It’s now the third most-streamed show on the platform, just behind Squid Game Season 1 and Wednesday.
Squid Game Season 3 lands on Netflix 27 June. Watch the teaser below:
