The mother-daughter duo we all love is back! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan have reunited on screen after 22 years for Freakier Friday, the long-awaited sequel to Freaky Friday. Disney just released the first teaser trailer, and we can't chill for a sec!

Jamie Lee Curtis, 66, and Lindsay Lohan, 38, reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman, but this time, it goes slightly different. Anna is now a mum herself, juggling life with a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. And just when things seem settled, another body swap messes everything up, because apparently, history does repeat itself!

The trailer starts with Tess and Anna visiting a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer) for a palm reading. She notices that their lifelines have crossed before. The two awkwardly brush it off and make a quick exit. But just as they leave, the ground starts shaking. And yeap, it's happening again!

Set to Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO!, the teaser shows Tess and Anna experiencing the wildest déjà vu as they swap bodies again, but this time, two more people are dragged into the mix—Anna's daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and stepdaughter Lily (Sophia Hammons).

And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Chad Michael Murray makes a grand, very sexy entrance on a motorcycle, reprising his role as Jake.

Millennials have been waiting for this sequel forever, and Disney finally made it official in June 2024. This time around, Nisha Ganatra takes the director’s seat. She’s known for The High Note and Late Night. The original film’s producer, Andrew Gunn, is back producing this sequel, along with former Disney exec Kristin Burr.

Freakier Friday is set to hit theatres on 7 August 2025. Watch the trailer below:
