Famous Japanese-Western Restaurant Royal Host Has Opened Its First Overseas Outlet At Jewel Changi
It's no secret that Singaporeans love all things Japanese: be it music, shopping, or food. And if you've ever visited the land of sushi and ramen, chances are that you've spotted a Royal Host eatery or perhaps even eaten at one!
After all, the incredibly popular restaurant chain has been in business for over 50 years, with 223 outlets and counting all across Japan. Now, you can enjoy their array of Japanese-Western comfort food offerings locally — because they've launched their first overseas direct store right here in Singapore!

Located at Jewel Changi Airport, the welcoming restaurant is all decked out in warm, cream shades and comfy family-style seating. While the dining space has a casual vibe, it feels spacious and classy enough for a special night out.
One of our favourite areas is the round bar counter which looks awesome as a photo backdrop. It also has plenty of power sockets placed around it for charging your mobile devices!

Just like in Japan, customers can tuck into Royal Host's signature items like hearty Hamburg Steak, Omurice, and Doria. But there are some special Singapore-exclusive touches to the menu too.
Start off your meal with a delectable “ROYAL” Onion Gratin Soup ($7.80), which famously won the praises of Marilyn Monroe when she tried it in Japan during her honeymoon back in 1954! You can also have a superfood-filled “ROYAL” Kale Salad ($19.80), served with peanut oil dressing.

Guests will be spoiled for choice when it comes to mains, but we recommend the must-try “ROYAL” Hamburg Steak ($29.80). It comes with a choice of Brown Butter, WA-FU Japanese, or Black Pepper (Singapore-exclusive) sauces, which you can pour over the meat to taste.

Those who don't mind the splurge can try the tender and umami-rich Premium Beef “ROYAL” Sirloin Steak 250g ($64.80). There's also the delicious Omelette Rice (from $26.80), Doria (from $24.80), and some Pasta options ($26.40).

Pair your meal with one of their colourful mocktails — the vibrant Singapore Sling ($11.50), tropical Mojito ($11.50), or sweet and floral Lychee Rose ($10.50). Of course, you can also pick from a wide array of teas, coffees, sodas, and juices.

Don't leave without trying the indulgent selection of Parfaits and Sundaes (from $16), because they're absolutely heavenly! We took on the HOT Fudge Sundae and just loved the delightful mix of American and Japanese confectionery.
