Nothing beats settling in a luxe lounge and indulging in tea and pretty little treats. We're talking about high tea, of course! If you're in the mood to treat yourself to this tai tai-worthy experience, Shangri-La Singapore has just the thing to make you feel pampered. This October, The Rose Veranda at the hotel has a new Pink High Tea in support of the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS).
For each Pink High Tea set sold, Shangri-La Singapore will donate $5 to SCS in support of their local programs. And besides contributing to a good cause, diners will also get to enjoy pink-themed food and drinks.
Ambience at The Rose Veranda
The Rose Veranda is tucked away in a quiet corner of the hotel that has a lovely view of the lush greenery outside. Together with plush seats, cosy carpeted floors and dazzling chandeliers, the space has an ambience that's both elegant and relaxing.

The tables are decorated with pink flowers specially for the occasion, which looks perfectly in theme with the Pink High Tea set.
Best for sharing between two diners, the set is served on two 3-tiered trays and beautiful pink dinnerware. Completing the pink theme are the dainty sweets and savouries that are all crafted with pink elements.

The set also comes with two pots of tea with an impressive variety to choose from. There's everything from green, black and white teas to blends, herbal infusions and floral-imprinted brews. For the indecisive, you can't go wrong with the two signatures including The Rose Veranda Signature Blend and The Shangri-La Tea.
Hot & Cold Savouries
Start with the hot savoury rolls before they get cold! One is filled with Pulled Beef Short Ribs and topped with roasted pepper onion relish in a parmesan bun. The other has Poached Lobster with choron sauce and pink pepper in a brioche.

On the bottom tier are cold savouries. The Smoked Chicken and Truffle Tartlet is embellished with pipings of pink-coloured potato mousseline. The Tobiko Prawn Gougeres has sweet & sour chilli while the Marinated Salmon Sandwich is covered with dill and beet mascarpone.

Pink Desserts & Scones
The sweets tier has five pretty desserts including a luscious Rhubarb Rose Milk Curd, sweet Ruby Peach Amande Mousee and a delicate Cassis Ivory Namelaka. Balancing these flavours are the Wild Strawberry Opera that has a refreshing hint of coffee and the tangy Raspberry Jasmine Frangipane Tart.

End your high tea with the Rose Veranda's signature scones, one of which is pink as it's infused with cherry. Pair them with the house-made clotted cream and strawberry jam.
