Here's Where You Can Find The Cutest Hedgehog-Shaped Pretzels, Along With Authentic German Pastries
We've just spotted the cutest pretzels in town: they're brown, round, and yummy enough we could eat a whole mound! These hedgehog-shaped creations are the brainchild of Park Bäckerei, a brand-new bakery specialising in pretzels and other German breads and pastries.
The store is just a stone's throw from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, making it super accessible for anyone needing a snack or light lunch. Diners can choose to take away their orders or dine-in at the store, which seats approximately 30 customers.

Park Bäckerei is also the only bakery in Singapore that makes their pretzels with lye solution — the traditional German way — that creates the unique flavour profile and burnished-brown sheen of their crusts. Read on to check out some of their must-try pastries and pretzel varieties.

The Swabian-style Plain Pretzel ($3.90 each, $10.80 for 3pcs) is German soul food at its best — you can have it plain, paired with unsalted Butter ($1) or enjoy it with delicious dips like the Frischkäse ($3) and Obatzda ($4). Cheese lovers can opt for the savoury Cheese Pretzel ($4.50 each, $12.60 for 3pcs), which has a crisp and slightly crunchy cheddar cheese layer in addition to the standard pretzel.
