A regal high tea for your Queen

Over four weekends in May and June only, Crystal Jade’s fine dining restaurants are serving up specially-curated high tea sets ($68++ per person; min. 2 persons) for the first time ever. So head over to Crystal Jade Palace, Crystal Jade Golden Palace or Crystal Jade Pavilion to enjoy a truly indulgent high tea session with your loved ones.

What’s on the menu? Each outlet offers a unique set, where you can enjoy two appetisers, four dim sum, a soup, a main, two desserts, and free-flow of Chinese tea and coffee. Standout items you must try include the bite-sized Black Truffle Toast with Mentai Mayonnaise 明太子松露土司 and Pan Fried Scallop in Bacon Roll 千岛带子烟肉卷, as well as handcrafted dim sum such as Sea Cucumber & Assorted Mushroom Dumpling 野菌海参饺 and Chilli Crab Bun 星洲辣螃蟹包. There are different soup options to choose from; we recommend the nourishing Double-boiled Abalone with Chicken Soup 一壶茶鲍鱼炖鸡汤, which you can slowly savour from a teacup.

Still hungry? Mains include a comforting Stewed Chinese Yam Vermicelli with Pan-fried Pomfret Fillet, Radish, and Salted Vegetable in Teochew-style broth 咸萝卜半煎煮烟鲳鱼焖淮山米粉 or a Hong-Kong-inspired Petite Noodle tossed with XO sauce topped with Crispy Pork Lardon & Sunny Side-up Egg XO酱猪油渣脆鸡蛋小碗面

Of course, celebrations wouldn’t be complete without some bubbly. If you really want to indulge Mum and Dad, you can add a bottle of Prosecco Cecilia Beretta NV (750ml) at only $58.

Mum and Dad deserve the best – so treat them to a lavish meal at one of the fine dining restaurants under Crystal Jade. At the flagship Crystal Jade Palace, you can expect award-winning Chinese fare such as the Chilled Boneless Kampung Chicken with Scallion & Sand Ginger 沙姜葱油去骨走地鸡 ($36 for half, $70 for whole), a hearty dish which features succulent chunks of chicken topped with spring onions and sand ginger. For something that’ll nourish you thoroughly, opt for the Eight Treasure Seafood Soup with Jasmine in Whole Winter Melon 夜香花八宝海皇冬瓜盅.

Over at the Michelin-starred Crystal Jade Golden Palace, heart-warming flavours take centre stage. Like its name suggests, the Hakka Grandma’s Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables served with Lotus Bun 客家梅菜干外婆扎肉配荷叶包 ($28 for four pieces) will taste like a comforting home-cooked dish whipped up by Grandma herself!

But the pièce de résistance of your meal will surely be the Steamed Whole Deboned Fish Wrapped in Crystal Jelly in Teochew style 潮式蒸鱼麒麟粉皮卷. Diners can choose from a selection of live fish for this elaborate dish. We recommend either the fresh soon hock or garoupa fish, which will then be filleted, wrapped with shiitake mushroom, red chilli, preserved vegetables, Chinese celery and shredded ginger in a mung bean sheet, and finally, steamed. The result? A medley of light but satisfying flavours the whole family will love.
