IKEA Singapore Celebrates Their 45th Anniversary With $4.50 Meals, 12-Inch Hotdogs, Free Giant Pencils & Socks

For 45 years, we've been playing house in IKEA's homey showrooms and enjoying their iconic Swedish meatballs. And to celebrate this milestone, the home furnishing brand is having a slew of promotions, freebies and in-store activities from 27 April to 1 May.

Limited Edition IKEA Merchandise

IKEA's cute little pencil is a must-have (or must-steal) during everyone's shopping trip, and now you can get a supersized version of it.

From 27 April to 1 May, customers can redeem IKEA Singapore's exclusive collectible long pencil with any purchase at the IKEA Store or on IKEA food, with no minimum spend required. Redemptions are limited to the first 120 customers at each IKEA store per day, while stocks last.

IKEA will also be gifting a mystery pair of limited-edition IKEA socks to customers who spend a minimum of $90 on home furnishing products in-stores, in a single receipt, from 27 April to 1 May. These socks are available while stocks last with 1,200 pairs up for redemption at each store each day.

Food Offers

IKEA will also have a special, enlarged edition of their classic hotdog at the Swedish Bistro. It now comes with a 12-inch sausage sitting on a standard bun which makes for a comical sight and is perfect for those who like extra protein. You can enjoy this ala-carte 12-inch hotdog for just one dollar (U.P. $2.00), and it comes in a set with a Nordic cold drink for $1.60 (U.P. $3.50) at IKEA Tampines and IKEA Alexandra.

Crowd favourites such as the 8-pc Swedish meatballs with mashed potato and mixed vegetable (U.P. $6.90), 8-pc plant balls with mashed potato and mixed vegetable (U.P. $6.50) and the 4 pcs chicken wings (U.P. $6.90) will be going for an exclusive price of $4.50/meal from 27 April to 1 May.

Activities

From 27 April to 1 May, all IKEA stores will be bustling with activities from live entertainment to photo opportunities.

Listen out for the roving emcees in store and participate in a variety of simple mini games to stand a chance to win IKEA Gift Cards and products.
Movie screening: catch award-winning PG-rated films such as Frozen (2013), Black Panther (2018), Encanto (2021) and Turning Red (2022) from 2pm to 7pm on 27 and 28 April and from 12pm to 10pm on 29 April to 1 May.
The longest Conga line: Groove to the beat with local 8-man samba band Sambiesta as they make their way across the IKEA showrooms.
