New Italian Restaurant In Town Has Swanky Interiors, Airy Outdoor Bar Terrace, & Private Dining Enclave
If you’ve ever searched up fancy Italian restaurants in Singapore suitable for special occasions, Zafferano Italian Restaurant & Lounge would have come up multiple times. After a decade of hosting weddings, anniversaries, and corporate events, they’ve gotten a refresh and are now known as Altro Zafferano.
This new identity is apt as “altro” means “other” in Italian - reflecting the swanky restaurant’s rebranding. With it comes a menu of contemporary Italian cuisine, inspired by the Neapolitan chef’s own heritage and techniques adapted from his family’s traditions, as well as a whole makeover on ambience.

Altro Zafferano’s main dining area retains its previous circular formation, but this has been given a modern new look with mood lighting and blush-toned seats, along with statement booth seat dividers and feature lamps.

Along the entryway now lies a 12-metre open kitchen, where you can see the skilled chefs at work and catch whiffs of the fragrant dishes in preparation - the perfect appetite-whetting prelude to the treat you’re about to experience.

There’s also a lovely outdoor terrace, which serves as a bar and lounge. This scenic space is decorated with greenery, and was specially designed to mimic those seaside patios in Italy. Take your pick from comfy rattan sofas or bar stools as you gaze out on the bay below, where icons like Marina Bay Sands and The Esplanade are located.

While airy and flooded with light during the day, this outdoor space transforms to have a more sensual vibe at night, making it great for a date or drinks with the girls. This rooftop lounge’s strategic placement also makes it a great spot for catching fireworks during special occasions such as National Day and New Year’s Eve.

For a more intimate experience, book a private dining room with a private entrance. There's also a special private enclave that can be separated into two rooms, or combined as a larger single space.

Expectedly, the price for a meal here is on the higher-end. The Experience Menu ($148) for dinner is a self-curated 4-course meal, with your choice of starter, pasta, main course, and dessert. There’s also a value-for-money Set Lunch ($78), also comprising 4 courses. A la carte options are available as well, with choices like Wagyu Beef Striploin ($88) and Mediterranean Sea Bass ($68) for mains.
