The New Chanel Mini Pop-Up Exhibition In Singapore Has A GIF Photo Booth & Insta-Worthy Photo Ops
J12 Always In Motion is Chanel's latest pop-up event in Singapore, running till 2 October 2022 at Takashimaya. This mini exhibition is dedicated to the house's watchmaking icon and offers a sensorial experience taking visitors through the history of the J12, from its origins to today.
Although termed an exhibition, it seems more like a mini display you can whiz through in 15 minutes tops. It'll also appeal to both watch connoisseurs and casual Chanel lovers. The staff are on hand to share more about the J12 and recommend the best model to serious shoppers. And for those who are there for the fun of it, there are photo ops and interactive elements to explore, as well as a photo booth.

The space is divided into three small sections. Visitors will first enter a room filled with screens and different J12 models.

After that is a 'gram-worthy room with curved walls and a mirrored ceiling creating the perfect photo backdrop. With a colour scheme of black and white, the space screams Chanel's iconic aesthetic characterised by simplicity and sophistication.

Each station offers an interactive activity that explains more about the J12.
A fascinating detail about this space is the plain white screens running across the space that are actually playing secret videos. Visitors can only see it by looking through one of the "magnifying glasses". We're guessing it works by having LCD screens without a polariser, paired with the handheld polarised glass lens.

As you move along the line, you'll find other interactive touches such as fragrance samples and an area where you can try your best to scratch and destroy the J12 ceramic strap, ergo seeing how durable they are.

At the last stop is a GIF photo booth where visitors can strike a pose while multiple cameras snap a photo in unison. These images are then merged together to form a rotating video in multiple angles. This video can be downloaded by scanning the QR code.
