Pizza Hut Singapore Launches New San Francisco-Style Sourdough Crust Pizzas, Here's What We Thought Of It
It's official, the sourdough trend has gone mainstream. Once a rare find save for the lesser-known bread specialty shops and trendy cafes, sourdough bread is now everywhere, even Pizza Hut has jumped on the bandwagon!
All of Pizza Hut's existing pizza flavours are now available with a San Francisco-style sourdough-based crust that's freshly handcrafted daily, with a longer preparation process and proofing.

I'm no sourdough bread connoisseur, but Pizza Hut's crust doesn't have a significant tangy aftertaste nor the chewy texture of sourdough. In its defence, the flavour might have been overshadowed by the toppings.
Nonetheless, this is far superior to their regular crust. Light and soft, the sourdough crust makes the pizzas less starchy and maybe even a step closer to artisanal pizzas.

Pizza Hut's sourdough crust are priced from $9.90 and are available for dine-in, delivery and takeaway throughout the month of June. There will be a number of promotions running including dine-in bundles like a $18.90 meal for two as well as delivery deals like a 1 Regular San Francisco Sourdough Pizza (Favourite/Classic) for $9.90.
