This Magic Mixies Cauldron Toy Is Going Viral All Over The World & Even Adults Are Crazy About It

Unless you’ve been off the grid and cleansing yourself of all forms social media, you’d probably have come across videos of Magic Mixies, a curious cauldron toy that involves mixing of “potions” and casting spells to produce a cute plushie critter. This ingenious toy has gone viral beyond measure all over the world, so much so that it repeatedly went out of stock, with both little children and grown adults going in a frenzy for it.

Lucky for us, it’s still available in Singapore. Here’s all you need to know about it! Be warned - you might just be tempted to get a set for yourself after reading this!

Magic Mixies is the brainchild of Moose Toys, a well-known Australian toy company that has produced many childhood favourites over the years. What’s special about Magic Mixies is that it provides an immersive experience where children (or the young at heart) can feel as though they’re stirring up a real enchanted cauldron, complete with swirling mist, touch activation, and a surprise plushie friend at the end.

It’s quite a package you’ll be receiving. Other than the magic cauldron pot, there will be a gem case, as well as 7 spell ingredients including a potion, a Glimmer Star for some sparkle, and a Magic Feather to give your Mixie wings. There’s also a magic wand, which you’ll be using to stir the ingredients in and tap the pot at each step to release the magic. Watch the cauldron glow, bubble, and change colour with special sound effects as your spell progresses!

The final step involves writing your Mixie’s chosen name on a paper scroll and throwing it into the blend. After that, say the magic words and watch your Mixie pet magically appear! Don’t worry, it comes out dry - thanks to a hidden compartment at the base of the pot that flips over to reveal the toy in a cloud of “smoke”.

Similar to how blind box figurines work, the exact Magic Mixie you’ll be receiving will be a surprise, but you can still pick your preferred colourway based on the series you’ve chosen. Hint: Look at the colour of the jewel on the front of the cauldron.

Once your new furry friend has come to life, you can have fun interacting and playing with it as though it’s a real pet. In fact, loop its tail around one of the cauldron handles, and it can sit atop the pot to help you cast more spells. Tap the gem on its forehead to activate this Enchantment Mode!

Be careful, though - casting spells depletes the Magic Mixie’s energy levels, which will be indicated via the colour of its gem. Once the energy runs out, it won’t be able to perform any more magic. However, you can always use nurturing actions like petting to help it regain its power. Leaving your Mixie alone to conserve energy can also do this, but neglect it for too long and it’ll get tired and fall asleep.

What we like best about Magic Mixies is that it’s not a single-use toy. The kit comes with a bonus mist packet, and the plushie can be reloaded into the pot so you can repeat the whole process again. Alternatively, you can put other trinkets into the provided gem case and do spells to reveal those instead!

Run out of mist? Fret not, you can always select the no-mist mode and continue playing; The toy won't cease to function just because you've used up certain components.
