9 Editions of Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton X Nike Air Force 1 Sneakers to Drop This June & How To Get Them
Kylie Jenner’s Met Gala “wedding gown” look might’ve been a grand tribute to the late Virgil Abloh, but for everyone else hoping to celebrate his genius, these exclusive kicks might be it.

This June, nine editions of the 47 Nike Air Force 1 sneakers that were originally designed by Virgil for the Louis Vuitton spring 2022 menswear show will launch globally in stores and online. True to his penchant for blending streetwear with luxury, the Ghanaian-American creative director has added his signature air-quote to each of the shoes—with the word “Lacet” on shoestrings and “Air” on the soles.

Manufactured at the French fashion house’s Venetian atelier, these shoes combine the familiar “Air Force 1” codes from Nike with the maison’s finest leather and LV insignia. Among the nine kicks available for sale are minimal all-white and all-black sneakers in LV’s monogram, as well as two-toned editions in white featuring red, blue, or green detailing.

Meanwhile, bolder options include one dripping in metallic gold, one featuring colourful patchwork, and a Damier edition with graffiti motif by Milan-based tattoo artist Ghusto Leon. There’ll be two mid-cut (S$3648) offerings and seven low-top (S$2918) styles to pick from.

If you happen to be in New York City from 20 to 31 May, don’t miss out on an exhibition showcasing all 47 editions of these sneakers. Held at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse, the exhibition space will be transformed into a surreal landscape of clouds and treehouse—a homage to Virgil's imaginative show sets and campaigns.

In June, pre-orders for the sneakers will open for selected LV clients before the nine editions release in-stores and online to the public.
