Singapore Tattoo Artist Specialises In Cute Cat-Themed Tattoos & Other Animal Designs
The modern tattoo designs of today are quite the change from the intimidating-looking ones in the past. Once linked to gangs and criminal organisations like the yakuza and mafia, tattoos have since shed their stigma and are now increasingly accepted as art, and come in all sorts of styles such as elegant fine lines and even glow-in-the-dark.
If you’re an animal-lover looking to imbue something subtle and cute to your skin, then you’ll love the designs by Deck Ward, a Singapore-based tattoo artist who specialises in cat-themed tattoos.

At time of writing, Deck Ward is an apprentice at Imagine Tattoo Studio located at Chinatown, but he has already gained a steady following for his distinct tattoo styles. His forte lies in cat-themed tattoos, and these usually involve simple bold outlines, with Japanese-inspired floral and wave patterns in various colours like red and blue filling up the empty space within.

Other than that, he also does a variety of other fantastic feline tattoos, in all sorts of design variations from minimalist, to “modified” versions of the fortune cat, and semi-realistic sketchbook-style illustrations.

He recently collaborated with local artist Fulfil, where he transformed their simple yet adorable illustrations into body art.

Cats aside, he’s great with animal designs in general, so feel free to ask for tattoos featuring dogs, bears. rabbits, and even jellyfish!

Deck Ward takes up custom requests and also launches special limited edition flash designs - both repeatable and unrepeatable - from time to time. Opting for an unrepeatable design means that you’ll be the only person in the world with that one-of-a-kind tattoo!
