New LOEWE x Spirited Away Collection In Singapore: Over 80 Pieces Including Handbags, Apparel & Accessories

Following the success of their first collaboration with Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli, LOEWE x My Neighbour Totoro, the fashion house has teamed up with them once again to launch their second collection. This time, the capsule collection features arguably once of the studio's best work - Spirited Away.

The LOEWE x Spirited Away collection features all of the film's most iconic
characters from Chihiro, Haku and Yubaba, to Kaonashi (aka No Face), Fly-Bird and the cute Susuwatari soot sprites. Hayao Miyazaki's tranquil and magical landscapes also make an appearance as allover prints.

While named a capsule collection, the line-up is an extensive one, with a wide variety of ready-to-wear including sweaters, t-shirts and hoodies, as well as bags, blankets, scarves and small leather accessories.

LOEWE artisans have brought the characters to life with contrasting textures such as print, applique and patch, as well as leather marquetry and embroidery. To create a three-dimensional form, some pieces have been given a Kasuri effect that was inspired by the classic Japanese technique known as 'boro' which consists of mended and indigo-dyed scraps patch-worked together.

LOEWE has also released a new scented candle inspired by Susuwatari. It has a comforting smoky scent brings to mind the scene where Chihiro helps the soot sprites carry the coal.
