Sanrio Laminates By Local Company Let You Transform Any Corner Of Your Home Into A Hello Kitty Paradise

When we previously posted about a Hello Kitty-themed HDB, many of you Sanrio fans went gaga over all the pink and kawaii-ness. Those who were observant enough would have noticed that the character decor of that particular apartment comes in the form of decorative wraps, rather than carpentry or themed furniture.

We’ve since found out that you can easily get such decals - also known as laminates - from a Singapore-based laminate specialist called Jennings, and there are quite a handful of designs featuring Hello Kitty and Friends!

Jennings is a local company that specifically deals with high pressure decorative laminates for homes, office spaces, and retail establishments. These laminates come in a variety of colours and textures including matte, high gloss, marble, and wooden. Compared to standard melamine laminates, high pressure laminates have a slightly higher price tag, but are said to be more durable against scratches and wear and tear.

Regular selection aside, Sanrio lovers would be excited to learn about their collection of character-themed laminates that’ll allow you to transform your home into a cutesy paradise! These are said to be officially co-created with Sanrio, so rest assured that the designs are authentic - no pirated stuff that resembles the questionable-looking prints on kids’ pasar malam clothing. The laminates can be applied to feature walls, much like how wallpaper works, but you can also use them to give cupboards, drawers, tables, and even bed frames a new lease of life. All-pink Hello Kitty walk-in wardrobe and vanity area, anyone? Heck, yeah.

They're all under the brand’s Premium collection, and at present, there are 7 designs to choose from. As expected, there are quite a few pink ones, all featuring none other than Hello Kitty among sweet motifs of ribbons, flowers, and jewels.

Other pastel hues like pale yellow and sky blue are also available, and some of the patterns feature a mix of other Sanrio characters including but not limited to Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Little Twin Stars, Badtz-Maru, and even Charmmy Kitty.

There’s also a more striking one with red and blue Hello Kitty patterns, tastefully set against a white background. This is perfect for those who are looking to add a little pop of colour to their rooms, while keeping to an overall clean look.

The good thing about laminates is that they can be removed completely and redone, so you can always switch things up and go for something new should your children - or yourself - grow tired of all the character prints!
