Split ends can be quite frustrating, they don't just make your hair look dull and unhealthy but also hamper your hair growth. Although it is a common hair concern, it is quite a serious problem and paying no attention to it will only cause more damage to your hair.

If you have recently got your hair trimmed and still notice split ends then your hair needs TONS of nourishment! To help you do that, a home-made DIY hair mask using moisturising ingredients from your kitchen can add back life to your hair. A concoction with the right nourishing ingredients will treat your split ends as well as prevent future damage too.

HONEY AND OLIVE OIL TREATMENT

You will need:

  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon of raw honey

Mix the two ingredients in a bowl and apply it to clean hair. Leave the mixture on for 20-30 minutes and rinse it off with a mild shampoo of your choice to get rid of any residue. The moisturising properties of olive oil and honey are amazing for repairing your hair from root to tip.

MAYONNAISE HAIR MASK

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
  • 2-3 teaspoons mayonnaise

Mix both the ingredients in a bowl and apply the mask to your hair from the roots to the tips. Pin your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Keep it on for an hour and rinse it off with your favourite shampoo. Mayonnaise can not only make your sandwiches more yum but can also transform your hair game completely. Mayonnaise consists of eggs and oil both which helps in hydration and can repair split ends and prevent dryness & damage. For best results, you can do this two times a week.
