India is one of the many countries trying to fight against the corona virus. Taking major steps by enforcing lockdowns, increasing quarantine facilities, giving out free rations to needful. While the fight is still going on and preventions are being taken, Switzerland showcased their support, to the country by projecting it's national flag on the Matterhorn mountains of Swiss alps. Amidst all the scare and moments of panic across the world wide, Switzerland is illuminating its one of the most glorious mountain peak to spread hope and as a sign of illumination.

Gerry Hofstetter is one of the most popular light artist and the brain behind setting up a light show on the 14,690 feet mountain, that not only projects national flags of various countries but also projects words like "hope" "stay at home" and "solidarity". The image of projection of country's national flag was tweeted by Indian Foreign Service Officer Gurleen Kaur. She also expressed her gratitude by tweeting "Friendship from Himalayas to Alps. Thank You.”

The projections on the mountains have been constant since the end of the March. The flags of Switzerland, United States, United Kingdom, Italy and the Swiss region of Ticino have also been projected.

Switzerland has reported more than 18000 cases of Corona and 430 deaths. Whereas the count of people affected due to corona in India has reached 14400 according to Union Ministry of India.
